Great pike action from Royal Canal – Fishing in Ireland

Arkadiusz “FishHunter” Smakowski has sent in this report and movie of his best ever pike caught on the Royal Canal recently:

Very quiet morning with a few bites along the canal, but nothing serious – then I almost had a heart attack when a big pike jumped from the water when I was getting the lure from the water.

Decided to try one more time, another attack, third cast and finally got it. It was exciting as I was using a very light setup – so I was nervous how it will end – but this time I was the winner.
