The NBA announced Sunday afternoon that the summer league game between the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers had been postponed due to health and safety protocols.
Because the Wizards have several players in contact tracing, they didn’t have enough of them available to play Sunday night against the Pacers.
Washington is scheduled to play on Tuesday against the Sacramento Kings. It’s unclear when its game against Indiana will be made up.
The Wizards were one of several NBA teams hit hard by COVID-19 during the 2020-21 season, shutting down for two weeks in January after several players tested positive for the deadly virus.
The summer league tipped off Sunday in Las Vegas. All NBA teams are scheduled to play five games over the next 10 days.
