The ‘Most passing yards by an NFL rookie’ quiz

The Justin Fields era in Chicago is here…well, sort of. 

With Andy Dalton out due to a knee injury, Fields will make his first NFL start this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. So if he goes out there and performs well, the job is his, right? That’s a scenario Matt Nagy openly pontificated on earlier in the week before giving two completely different answers to his own question.

Technically speaking, Chicago’s PR rep delivered the second, more definitive response for him. Regardless, it’s crystal clear that the 33-year-old Dalton is still entrenched as the team’s starting quarterback…until, of course, he isn’t. Ah, the NFL. Welcome back! 

Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. If FIelds plays well enough to hold off Daulton and keep the job for the rest of the season, he would seem to have a great chance at setting Chicago’s franchise record for passing yards as a rookie.
