Adam Cerra deal close, Luke Dunstan signs with Melbourne, Demons land first-round pick in mega four-way deal, Jeremy Finlayson to join Port Adelaide

Reigning premiers Melbourne have traded back into the first round of the national draft, with the monster four-club picks swap between the Demons, St Kilda, the Western Bulldogs and Adelaide coming to fruition.

The deal has seen the Bulldogs trade pick 17 to the Demons in order to attain more points in their push to secure father-son prospect Sam Darcy.

The Demons have bought back into the earliest stage of November’s draft after trading their future first-round pick.

The four-way agreement also sees Melbourne obtain a draft hand of 17, 37 and 49, while Adelaide now have two first-round picks for 2022 as well as 2021 selections 33 and 75. The Crows’ strengthened 2022 draft hand has given them a boost as they prepare to raid the Gold Coast Suns’ South Australian young guns, Jack Lukosius and Izak Rankine.

Meanwhile, St Kilda have given away pick 49 in exchange for 62, 66 and a fourth-rounder linked to Adelaide’s 2022 ladder position.
