RCB vs CSK Live Score IPL 2021: CSK bowlers strike back after Virat, Padikkal show; restrict RCB to 156/6 (20) – Follow live updates – Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper Virat Kohli and opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal gave their side a solid start in the first 10 overs against Chennai Super Kings in the 35th Over of the IPL 2021 here at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on Friday. But CSK bowlers pulled things back in the last 10 overs to restrict RCB to 156 at the end of the 20th over.

After winning the toss, MS Dhoni asked Virat Kohli’s side to bat first. Virat and Dev gave their side a superb start by putting up a century partnership. The duo scored 111 runs for the first wicket. Both scored fifties in the game. Virat scored 53 runs in 41 balls with the help of six boundaries and one maximum while Dev smashed five boundaries and three sixes in his 70 runs innings in just 50 balls. However, after their wickets, no RCB batsman could score big. AB de Villiers was promoted up the order to bat at number three could only score 12 while Glenn Maxwell scored 11 runs in 9 balls. RCB’s debutant Tim David also failed to put an impact in this game.

Dhoni: We’ll bowl first. There are a few wet patches, but it has dried out slightly. It’s a small ground and there was dew the last time we played. Same team. It was an incredible team effort. To reach around 160, it was a special performance by the bat. The bowlers needed get into action and we kept getting wickets. We played really well to get back in. He (Gaekwad) has been incredible, he plays authentic cricket shots. I just hopes he keeps doing the same.

Kohli: The wicket looks nice and hard. Don’t think it’ll change a lot. A few more runs would be nice. It’s a wake-up call, you still have to come out here and gain momentum again. We have brought in Navdeep Saini for Sachin Baby. We needed more pace in the middle overs. Kyle Jamieson misses out and Tim David replaces him. He makes his debut for RCB, he’s a power player in the lower middle-order, plays spin well and he’s a strong lad.
